That is actually the point. Staying in joy and overcoming the enemy has nothing to do with circumstances cooperating. Jesus endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2). James tells us to count it all joy when trials hit, because the testing of your faith produces patience. Proverbs 17:22 says a merry heart does good like a medicine.
Joy is not a feeling you wait on. It is a weapon you pick up.
