Notice Divine Appointments – Exodus 3:3

2 mins read

You ever have those days when you’re rushing through life, checking off your to-do list, and then something unexpected happens that changes everything? It’s like a divine interruption, isn’t it? It happened to Moses:

Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”

— Exodus 3:3 (NKJV)

It’s like this invitation to stop and pay attention to the unexpected, the seemingly ordinary moments that hold extraordinary potential.

Moses could have ignored the burning bush, dismissing it as a mere curiosity. But he chose to turn aside, to embrace the interruption. And in that moment, he encountered God’s calling, his destiny was revealed to him in a way he never could have imagined.

Imagine if Moses had brushed off that divine interruption, if he had continued on his way without a second thought. His life’s trajectory might have been completely different. The same goes for us—when we’re open to God’s interruptions, we create opportunities for Him to work in remarkable ways.

So often, we get caught up in our schedules, in our plans, that we miss the divine appointments right in front of us. That person who crosses our path unexpectedly, that moment of inspiration, that sudden change of direction—these could be the very moments through which God is shaping our destiny.

Embrace the Interruptions

Let’s remember this truth as we navigate life’s twists and turns. Let’s be willing to turn aside, to embrace the interruptions, because they might just be the stepping stones to our destiny. In those moments, God can reveal His purpose, His guidance, and His plans for us.

So, the next time your day takes an unexpected turn, don’t be too quick to dismiss it. Embrace the interruption, for it could be the moment that changes everything. Be open to God’s divine appointments, and watch as He reveals the path He has prepared for you.

Exodus 3:3
Always be willing to let God interrupt your day with his divine appointments. That one moment may be exactly how God intends to reveal your destiny to you.
