Andrew Sharpe joins me on Two for Tuesday to tackle why so many Christians avoid the one book in the Bible that actually promises a blessing just for reading it.
The word most commonly translated “blessed” in Revelation 1:3 is the Greek word makarios, which means something closer to “congratulations, you’re on a winning streak” than a solemn religious blessing. The word “apocalypse” itself simply means unveiling, like a theater curtain pulling back to show what’s already true in the spirit.
Jesus is the central figure. Not the monsters. Not the doom. Him.
