Satan has no authority. All he can do is deceive us into thinking he still does.
God delegated authority over the earth to Adam and Eve in Genesis 1:28. Satan tricked them into handing it over. Jesus took it back and, in turn, delegated it to the church.
The authority is still God’s. But when we choose not to exercise what Jesus entrusted to us, we behave just like Adam.
The choice is ours.
