It’s been an interesting few months and now we’re moving forward in our journey to Scotland! We’re off to the UK for another Scouting Trip!
A lot of things have happened in the last couple of months in our journey to Scotland and it’s time for an Update. (Well, well past time really. But here we are.)
Legal Stuff Moves Forward
Last month we received our letter from the IRS stating we are approved as an official 501C3 non-profit ministry. www.NewCREEations.org is now official. We sent our paperwork in on December 30, 2014 and received the approval in less than ninety days! Praise the Lord! That was a miracle in that we were told by many of our friends that the process will take up to ten months, or even longer. So we are thanking God for amazing counsel from others that have gone through this process before us and for getting the paperwork approved so quickly.
Back to the UK
Chris and I are returning to England and Scotland at the end of May on another scouting trip. It was not in our plans to attend the Grace and Faith Conference that Andrew Wommack ministries hosts in Telford , England…..But God.
I started to sense the Lord prompting me that He wanted us to go. I just prayed “Lord if this is you then have Chris bring it up.” And sure enough he did! Then a week later we had a very brief conversation with Andrew (Wommack) at the college just before one of the Easter events and he said “You really need to consider going to the Grace & Faith Conference this year.” Well….we knew in our hearts this was of God confirming what he already spoke to us individually.
So now we are five weeks out making the plans and trusting God for all the provision needed. We were told there would be little to no chance of securing a hotel room in Telford as this conference already has some 4500 people registered. But God again! We found a very nice room close to the convention center…no problem.
Thank You Lord for being in all the details.
Flights are still to be booked and the rest of the details yet to follow. We will travel up to Scotland for a week after the conference to gather more information for our official Charis Bible College, Scotland proposal plan which we will have to present to World Outreach in the next few months. We will also reconnect with our friends at Glen Aros Church in Dumfries, Scotland and watch the Lord guide us into all of the many steps required for our journey.
We are very excited to return to the UK and take these next steps toward moving to Scotland, especially now that things are moving forward on this side of the Atlantic.
Thanks to You!
Our ministry is now an official 501C3 tax deductable non-profit and our website now has a secure giving portal. We have had a number of you become ministry partners with us through financial support and we are so grateful for you.
We continue researching the financial and visa requirements we will need to move to Scotland permanently and we ask that you prayerfully consider a monthly partnership or a one-time giving.
When we get to Scotland and are gearing up the Charis Bible College campus as directors we will be missionaries. That means we will be unable to do conventional work to earn a wage over there so we’ll be depending solely on our ministry partners for our living expenses.
If you would like to get involved you can go directly to our partnership page and partner with us using our brand new, very secure, partnership form.
Thank you again to all of you who have been praying for us and who have partnered financially with us. We are excited to see all God is doing and is going to do in bringing the Good News of the Gospel to the people of Scotland and the UK.
I keep hearing the Steven Chapman song “Saddle Up Your Horses”……as we have a trail to blaze!
