Proverbs says to guard your heart above all else, because it determines the course of your life. But before you can guard something, you have to know what it is.
The Biblical heart isn’t the muscle in your chest. It’s the intersection of your soul and spirit. Really, it’s a control valve which either lets the things of God flow out or shuts them off. Fill it with doubt, and your heart limits the miraculous.
But when we instead fill our heart with the truth of Scripture and testimonies of God’s goodness, then we prosper in every area of our lives.
