You can’t stop thinking about something just by trying not to think about it. Your brain doesn’t work that way. God wired it to think about stuff, not to not think about stuff.
That’s why Philippians 4:8 isn’t optional advice. It’s the other half of the solution to anxiety. Pass your worries over to God in prayer. Then shift your focus to what’s true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy.
Repeat as needed until it becomes habit.
